How often has it happened that something you wanted actually came true and then you regretted why did you want it in the first place?Read on....
Everybody longs for that somebody special with whom one can share thoughts,dreams,joys and sorrows.It is said that to find that special person you may have to walk a thousand miles or swim through deepest waters.People find that special person in the subway,on way to office,in the park,in the university mess hall and some in the library also.
But Paul Kroenig was different.He was one of those guys on campus having his own apartment a stone's throw away from the campus,spending all his time sitting in front of the computer,surfing the net,chatting with friends,downloading movies and stuff etc.His life was pretty much the same day in day out.
Everything was fine until......until one fine day he decided to start studying for MBA prep.He worked hard and finally made it to the interview rounds for some of the best MBA schools.He posted some queries regarding the interview pattern on a community in face book.(How he'd wish he had never done that.)That was starting of a story beyond yours,mine and anybody's wildest dreams.
It was just any other bright Saturday afternoon....a scrap came on Paul's account...it was from an unknown sender."Hey you too have your interview on April 19?"the message read.Now as we say curiosity killed the cat,Paul went back to the sender's account.
As fate would have it,very soon Paul and that stranger became good friends,exchanging notes,movies,songs etc.A thought always crossed his mind - who's at the other end?Then one fine day,he decided to ask and to his disbelief,it turned out the stranger was a girl.She sent him some photographs of her and she was easily the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.He instantly fell in love with her & decided to give it a shot.Slowly and slowly,he started getting closer to the girl but was vary of the fact that the girl could be unreal so asked for a video chat.When he finally saw the girl on video,he was assured she was for real (and not some AI program as he thought).
After months of being web-friends,they finally decided to meet up.She called him to her house.He was all excited and went to the designated place on the designated date.He was greeted by the girl and he could just swoon over there itself.She motioned him inside towards the lounge and asked him to make himself comfy.As she went inside,he thought about how one action changed everything.Lost in his day dreams,he couldn't have heard the sound of footsteps slowly and slowly coming up to him from behind and SMASH!An empty bottle of Romanov came crashing down on his head knocking him unconscious.
When he finally regained consciousness,he was shirtless,strapped to a chair and there were small feeding tubes connected to his ears,nose and also to his arms and legs.His head was wobbling with pain.Then the girl appeared.He shouted out,"What the heck is happening?"The girl coolly replied,I haven't really had some adventure for quite sometime so I called you up.And then she went to a table in the corner of the small,dimly lit room and picked up a surgeon's knife.She then came to him and said,"this would hurt only a little bit" and started carving out letters on the boys chest.He cried out in pain but she was busy doing her own artwork on him.when she finished she asked him,"do you want to know what have I written?".He didn't have strength to say anything so she said,"OK,I'll tell you."
The words read,"Coffee is good for health but excess coffee is very bad for health."He didn't understand the meaning behind the words.Then she flicked on a switch and the whole room was lit up with lights and then he could see what lay in store for him.There was coffee dispenser in the room which was connected to him by those feeding tubes.The girl went to the dispenser and switched it on,soon there was the hissing sound of boiling water and after that the hot coffee started trickling into the tubes connected to the boy.As the first drop of hot coffee entered his ears and nose,the boy cried out in agony.The only words that could come out from his mouth were,"WHY?"
The girl replied this is what I do to beat stress - PUT COFFEE IN PEOPLE'S EARS!HA HA HA!
With that hot coffee slowly cooking him up from the inside he thought,what if he never actually wanted this girl?What if......
